Inner thoughts

Narrator: Juslyn sister who is 21 years of age,came in drunk on a Saturday 3am. She entered the living room and laid on the couch. Juslyn grabbed the holy water to throw on her sister. Her sister screamed at the top of her lungs while the holy water burned her sister, killing her slowly. Juslyn fell down to her knees, hovering over her sister in shock and watched the holy water (acid) sizzle in her sisters skin. Juslyn and the voice in her head began to have a conversation.

Juslyn inner voice

Ring around the rosie a pocket full of posies ashes ashes we all feel down ashes in the water ashes in the sea, we all feel down in 1,2,3.

Don’t worry she is in a safe place now

Don’t feel guilty, you took her out of her misery.

She is thanking you from above

Or below. The way she lived, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Juslyn

Don’t talk about my sister like that

I loved her,

You made me kill her

Juslyn inner voice

Only to save her,

Her actions shows  that she is possessed with demons,

You needed to burn them out.

*Juslyn started shaking

Juslyn

But,but she died.

Juslyn inner thoughts

I guess she wasn’t strong enough to take the pain.

But how do you feel?

Don’t you feel like a hero?

You saved your mom the trouble of dealing with your sister.

Juslyn

I feel like I’m not controlling myself,  You are!

Juslyn inner voice

How am I controlling you,

I’m only in your head

Juslyn

You are controlling me!

You tell me what to do, when do it and you never listen to me. Throughout my life I only followed your rules and did everything that you asked

Like the time I wanted to hug my sister and tell her that I love her.

But because you think that showing love is weak I hold my words.

Standing over my sisters body, I feel weakness, regret and shame. I can not live with myself knowing what I did.

Juslyn

You’ll get over it. She deserved to die. She makes you weak. She treats you like a child. Combing your hair like you can’t do it yourself. Doing your homework like your dumb. You need to learn how to be independent.

Pause

Juslyn

Get out of my head.

*Juslyn knocked her head 3 times in attempts to get the voice out her head.

Juslyn inner voice

That won’t work as long as you live I’ll always be with you. And if you try to get rid of me I will make your head hurt.

Juslyn

I can take medications

Juslyn inner voice

No you don’t understand, I can control your fingers, your legs, all of your limbs. You think you had the strength to dash that acid on your sister?

Juslyn

ooooo. I am your slave

Juslyn inner voice

Yes, now your learning and like a slave you will do anything I ask, because I know what’s best for you. Why do you think I killed her? Its because she makes you weak.

Juslyn

Not anymore. If there’s no me then theres no you

*Juslyn quickly grabs the knife and stab it in her stomach

You will not have control over me anymore

Why did you do that? Are you crazy?
